Ashley Tisdale Biography

Ashley Tisdale is the 23-year-old actress and singer known for her role as “Sharpay Evans” in Disney’s High School Musical series. Ashley Tisdale was born in New Jersey on July 2, 1985. Ashley Tisdale was discovered at a mall when she was three years old and was booked in more than 100 commercials before moving on to performing on Broadway in musicals such as Les Miserables and Annie.

Ashley Tisdale began appearing on television as a teenager in shows including Beverly Hills, 90210, Boston Public and 7th Heaven. Ashley Tisdale got her first role with Disney in 2005 when she was cast as “Maddie Fitzpatrick” in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. In addition to High School Musical 1, 2 and 3, Ashley Tisdale also voices the character of “Candace Flynn” in Disney’s Phineas and Ferb.

Ashley Tisdale released her first solo album in 2007. “Headstrong” debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 charts. Later that year, Ashley Tisdale also released a music DVD called “There’s Something About Ashley” which was chosen as the 6th best album of the year by Billboard readers. Ashley Tisdale is listed in Forbes Magazine as one of Hollywood’s 10 top paid young entertainers in 2008. Ashley Tisdale is currently working on her second album and is developing a TV series with her production company Blondie Girl Productions for The Disney Channel.

Ashley Tisdale is dating Jared Murillo, a dancer she met on the set of High School Musical, since March 2007. She underwent surgery to fix a deviated septum, a procedure which changed the appearance of her nose, in November 2007. Ashley Tisdale is endorsed by Degree deodorant, Ecko Red clothing and Huckeberry Toys, who created a limited edition line of dolls called “The Ashley Dolls.”  Ashley Tisdale was voted 2nd Hottest Woman of Pop/R&B by Blender Magazine and #10 in Maxim’s 2008 Hot 100 list.
